"Qigong" can be translated as "ancient health exercise" or "thousands-of-years-old health gymnastics"
"Qigong (气功, [tɕʰikʊŋ], also ch'i kung, chi kung) is a set of techniques of Chinese origin for physical and mental training.
Qigong is a health exercise for both the body, soul, and heart that has evolved over approximately 5000 years in China. Simple, slow, and gentle movements are combined with concentration exercises and sometimes breathing exercises. These exercises are highly potent and activate the entire acupuncture system, promoting self-healing.
There are many different styles, and the best approach is to try and see which ones resonate with you. Some styles feature very simple movements that are easy to learn. Qigong can be practiced by both the healthy and the sick. For astronauts, it is mandatory, and many elite athletes train in qigong. Even those in wheelchairs can practice by imagining the movements.
Early in the morning, you can see many Chinese people practicing Qigong before work because they know it promotes health.
Qigong is a way to reconnect with oneself and find balance. We increasingly lose ourselves in various distractions such as material possessions, relationships, work, etc. Finding our way back to ourselves is incredibly healing and brings calmness and a sense of freedom, making us more resilient to stress and improving sleep.
Training in Qigong is a way to take responsibility for one's life, and it automatically benefits people, animals, and plants in your surroundings. Your calmness and harmony have a positive influence on your environment."

"I am trained by, among others, Mette Feilberg from Denmark, who is the representative of Master Wan Su Jian. The first video is from his center in China. The second video is from 'Skön Söndag' (Swedish Television - SVT), a QiGong video where I am participating in my first Qigong training."
